  • Completed a Southland Wood Residue Supply Assessment for Wood Energy South, Venture Southland and Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority of New Zealand

  • Conducted geospatial modeling and network analysis of road networks combined with forestry estates

    • Defined woodflow catchment areas based on specified distances and road network analyses

    • Summarized available volumes of renewable wood energy sources within multiple buffered distances based on road network analysis

  • Calculated distances of each forestry estate from each division of Timber

  • Produced 18 Cartographic images and organized summary data into tables

CU-DENVER & LA SELVA RESEARCH STATION

  • Research Assistant for Tenured GIS Professor

  • Collaborated with Dr. Moreno-Sanchez and La Selva Biological Research Station to understand project goals and needs

  • Research GIS modeling software options to help evaluate biological corridors and fragmentation

  • Conducted spatial pattern exploration of land cover with GUIDOS (Graphical User Interface for the Description of Image Objects and their Shapes) and ConeforSensinode 2.6 with ArcGIS Desktop 10.x

  • Created a report on the spatial exploration and presented to a panel of professors at La Selva in Costa Rica​

US ANTARCTIC PROGRAM (USAP)

2014 - 2015

  • Contractor for Science Cargo during the Antarctica summer season of 2014/15

  • Worked and lived at McMurdo American Base

    • Worked 6 days/week

    • ​Contracted from December 2014 through April 2015

  • Communicated regularly with science groups and air-cargo handlers to assist in packing research equipment and science samples for inter- and intra-continental movement​

  • Operated large equipment; front loaders and fork lifts

  • Packed fragile and temperature-sensitive samples per customs standards, including core samples

  • Supported work centers in an isolated environment with limited resources
